Meeting on Sunday

Went to a Sunday meeting again in over six months just to waste my morning since I had nothing going on. As soon as I sat down, this sister came up to me and my parents and asked for my name which I only gave her the first part of it and as she got to talking, I hear these next words come out of her mouth which gave me a bad vibe from her, “well, we’ll get to know you all more and more”. After the meeting ended I told my parents on the way home that I don’t ever want her in my house and if I see her there, I will personally kick her and her husband out even if physical force is necessary. Come to find out, my mom was talking to one of her Borg friends who has the same past as my family and low and behold, my sense are 100 percent accurate. My mom found out that lady and her husband are problem makers, likes to find info on other people and then snitch on them. I told my dad once we found out about my hunch, “this is why, whenever I say I don’t like someone, it’s not just because I have a mouth and say shit, but because I know how to read people”. Safe to say, they’ve been avoiding them ever since. I haven’t gone back but I’m glad they now know to be careful with this lady and her husband.

5900x Running Hot Despite Water-Cooled Loop

Hey all, I'm submitting this just to see if anyone has any other tips or tricks that I can try. I have a PC that I've been running for about 2 years now, featuring a water-cooled AMD 5900x CPU and water cooled GTX 3090Ti - both being cooled by a Corsair Hydro X LD7 cooler. My temps at idle hover around 50-60 and my temps under load are anywhere from 73-85. Things I've tried to reduce temps: * Opening panels on my case (Corsair 5000x QL Mid), which took my load temps from 85-90 down to 73-85. Specifically, the front panel where the exhaust was and the side panel behind the tower are the ones I removed. * Draining my loop and re-thermal pasting the CPU. I've done this 3 times now, including even going further and cleaning all my parts, no change in temps whatsoever. Since my system is water-cooled and right now the pump is connected straight to the Motherboard instead of the Commander Pro that I have (it's a long story but essentially the PC wouldn't boot without it being connected to the motherboard), I can't really do anything more to help lower my temps. I would expect that with a water-cooled loop like this, idle should be in the 30-40 range and load should be in the 50-60 range. Any tips are greatly appreciated!

I hate how it always say that a vegan diet is healthy if "it's properly planned"

Hear me out. I'm not saying this shouldn't be the guideline as I recognise that most people who go vegan are coming from a "regular" diet, and not only are the foods we eat different, but the way we eat & how we prepare food can be different too, and where we get our specific nutrients from aren't always the same. So, in that sense, it's important to make sure you're still getting the nutrients that you need when you're switching to different foods & cutting stuff out. BUT, I just hate the way that this statement is so often misinterpreted as that vegan diets are made up of such different, unheard of foods and that it's difficult to get nutrients so make sure you're knuckling down & deep diving into every single aspect of your diet to make sure you get enough of everything, because if you slack you're gonna become nutrient deficient! (I'm aware that not every single person would interpret it this way, but I just have seen many people interpret it like this). The reality is, as everyone in this sub would know, is that EVERY diet should be properly planned. Like, if you eat meat & dairy, you should still be making sure you're getting enough of what you need? Eating meat & dairy doesn't automatically mean you have the perfect amount of every nutrient. But, as I said, I realise that it's still an important message to those who are actually becoming vegan. I just wish it didn't make veganism look more unattainable to some people. Cuz the reality also is that it's really not hard to "properly" plan it, just takes some google searches and you can figure it out in a day.
